Austin 42 is a community focused organization where the primary goal is to play and grow the game of 42 in Austin, Texas. We’re working hard to provide various avenues for folks of all skill levels to learn 42, play 42, or master the National Game of Texas. Here are some of the options we have available and are always looking to branch out. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to contact Austin 42!
A Regular Night
Monday is domino night! We play regularly – currently at Billy’s on Burnet – from 7-10pm. Typically we’ll have league matches being played or folks available to play pick up games. This is a great night to come out to learn the game or practice some strategies you’ve been learning!
The League
Leagues are a great way to play on a regular basis and have some fun with a competitive spirit. If you’re interested in joining a Fall/Spring league, send us an email as we build them as we have interest.
Mini Tournaments
Mini-Tournaments (Mini-T’s) are one night tournaments that usually occur during our off season or during bye weeks. They typically consist of 3-5 games of 42 where scores are tallied and a winner is announced at the end of the night. There is a modest entry fee and cash prizes are awarded to the top 3 players. No partners are needed as we randomly select partners for each game/round. Always a fun time, and you get to meet and play with others you might not have before. These will be announced via the Austin 42 Email Group list service.
